PocketCONTROL uses the camera on the smartphone to scan and read license plates in a very efficient way. PocketCONTROL searches online for valid permits in the connected databases. These can be from 3rd party applications like other mobile pay or on street kiosks. Upload up to 20 pictures for indisputable evidence to aide in the appeals process.
The Alarm Module is a tool to support situations when the field worker feels insecure or is being threatened in any way. By activating an alarm, the device is positioned, and a call is established between the device and a operation central and data is logged, dispatching someone to their location.
DriveCONTROL is separate software that connects to vehicle mounted ALPR cameras, and enables the enforcement operation to cover larger areas more efficient.
Enforcement offers will able to see if a vehicle has been escalated to the point of clamping a boot, attaching a barnacle or even towing. Officers will be able to dispatch a technician to perform this task. Once a payment is made for the violation, the public can request to have the equipment removed.
The Appeal Management module in PEZ helps customer service to respond to both questions and real appeals in a quickly without face to face interaction.
The PocketCONTROL client is the building block of any enforcement operation. It runs on any Android 4.0 device or higher, giving multiple options on terminal for form factor. We understand the need for rugged products that take a beating day in and out. We use Zebra M60 Rugged Mobile Computers with Android for PocketCONTROL. These devices offer replaceable batteries with over 22 hours of operation per battery. They communicate to lightweight Zebra ZQ310 bluetooth printers. We offer a custom enforcement sling that operators can use to carry a hydration bladder, spare paper & batteries and even a rain jacket for all day enforcement.
DriveCONTROL is separate software that connects to vehicle mounted ALPR cameras, and enables the enforcement operation to cover larger areas more efficient. Once an observation of a vehicle without a valid permit has been made, the system can either dispatch this observation to the nearest field worker, or to a group of field workers following the DriveCONTROL scan-car. The driver of the scan-car can also complete the observation.

Our current standard DriveCONTROL Kit is a Pelican case containing 2 Tattile Mobile ANPR Cameras with magnetic mounts, Zebra XSlate L10 tablet with vehicle mount, powered by a Sierra Wireless modem/router. These kits do not have servers permanently mounted in the trunk of a vehicle since all processing is done onboard of the camera and exported and managed by DriveCONTROL. This allows for the cameras to be stored safely when not in use and transferred to a separate vehicle when one goes in for maintenance.
As Giant Leap Technologies US partner, we are excited for them to implement the worlds first bicycle powered ALPR enforcement in Copenhagen, Denmark. The possibilities are endless. One man electric vehicles can eliminate unnecessary CO2 pollution of patrol vehicles for efficient wolf pack enforcement.
